CBS Outdoor selects Mainsaver to manage marketleading
digital assets in the London Underground
San Diego, CA, March 7, 2007 –Following a comprehensive assessment process, CBS Outdoor has selected Mainsaver to enable the management of a new generation of digital assets. CBS Outdoor successfully bid for the £multi-billion London Underground advertising contract which extends through until 2014, and the company is leading the way in the introduction of cutting-edge digital media including LCD displays on thoroughfares, DEPs (Digital Escalator Panels) on escalators and Cross Track Projectors for the station platforms.
The investment in this technology requires a change in the way the company manages the
equipment to ensure the highest levels of customer service. Paul Baker, CBS Outdoor’s Engineering
Manager says; “This is a major swing in the way we need to manage ourselves and that
means real-time data capture whilst the engineers are working on the platforms at night. Very
quickly we need to identify potential problems so that our maintenance strategy is always up to
date and the availability of our assets is maximised. Spidex Software is able to offer all of the
components we require through Mainsaver and MobileMainsaver, and they will partner us
through the delivery of this project’.
