Mainsaver selected by Greencore for UK’s largest malting complex

Greencore Malt has selected Spidex Software’s Mainsaver CMMS to manage engineering maintenance at its flagship malting complex in Bury St Edmunds. This manufacturing facility, one of seven sites across four different countries, is the largest in the UK and one of the largest in Europe.

George Irving (Operations Director) is one of the senior management team that selected Mainsaver. “Greencore Malt is striving to be best-in-class and we want our customers to deal with us because they have complete confidence in the people and systems we operate with,” he says. “We see the deployment of Mainsaver as an important factor in helping us drive the business forward.”

There can be little doubt that Greencore Malt is making significant forward strides. In recent years, the company has made large-scale investment in new plant at Bury St Edmunds which enabled it to triple annual production capacity to some 160,000 tonnes. It has also gained ISO 9002, ISO 14001 and ISO 18001 accreditation.
