Making the Ideal Choice


San Diego, CA – July 30, 2007 –Ideal Boilers have joined Spidex with their upgrade to the latest Mainsaver version 10.1. Ideal Boilers have been Mainsaver users for 4 years and have constantly driven to improve the use and uptake of the system on the site.

With the latest upgrade Ideal are looking at introducing a link between Mainsaver’s Inventory Module and their SAP system, ensuring that the engineering team have a single point of access to up to date information regarding parts availability and usage. This will form the first stage of the rollout into the factory with the Mainsaver Shopfloor Module enabling access to work orders and empowering the team to take jobs live from the system.

In the workshop -
Check and refurbishment of flywheel, brake and clutch unit from a 450-tonne press for internal insurance inspection, Mainsaver is used to manage the preventative maintenance schedules for all equipment on site including statutory insurance inspections on presses.


Paul Jasper says ‘We have made an investment in Mainsaver and want to continue to drive its
usage on the site, we felt the only way we could do this was to move to version 10.1 as it opens up a number of new areas of functionality and resolves a number of outstanding issues, we are looking at how we could use MobileMainsaver for the more remote areas of site as well’ Pete Jordan, Professional Services Director, has already kicked off the project and Spidex look forward to forging ahead with Ideal Boilers.
